In Montreal from September 22 to October 3, 2010 The Montreal International Black Film Festival offers the best and most amazing new films from the world of Haitian cinema, a world of independent author’s films. Born of the Fabienne Colas Foundation, a non-profit organization with a passion for cinema that is dedicated to promoting Haitian cinema, art and culture both nationally and internationally, the Montreal International Black Film Festival hopes to promote Black cinema, inspire people from all walks of life, encourage quality independent cinema and foster meetings between industry professionals from Haiti, Canada and around the world. The past five editions of the Festival were a smashing success thanks to thousands of movie-goers, who are becoming more and more interested in discovering Black cinema, and also thanks to our government and private sponsors who believe in the future of this young cinema. An event of this magnitude could simply not be put on without the invaluable support of all our sponsors. We are enormously grateful to these sponsors because, with their generous support, the people of Montreal as well as many visitors to our fair city have had the privilege of attending an enriching and entertaining cultural event that is already becoming a much-anticipated annual affair. We are in the process of developing new sponsorship opportunities for the 2010 Festival, and we need your support to make sure that the 6th edition of the Festival is as successful as its predecessors. So please feel free to contact our Marketing and Sponsorships Department. We’ll be happy to tell you about the various opportunities available to you. Remember, you are important to us, and we pledge to thoroughly assess each and every sponsorship request submitted to us. We look forward to speaking with you! sponsor@montrealblackfilm.com
